dc.description.abstract Purpose: The sole purpose ofthis research is to highlight the attributes and reasons that cause job stress and how they impact employee performance in the textile industry ofPakistan. This research mainly focuses on the reachable employees ofthe three companies ofthe textile sector of Pakistan which are Khaadi, J. and Sapphire Textile Mills Methodology/Sample: Close ended questions were used to get responses of the personnel. Questionnaires were sent to different departments in each company to get employee responses through Google forms. This research is of quantitative in nature. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling and the sample size is set to 315 employees. Descriptive analysis, reliability test, correlation and multiple regression tests were run by using SPSS tools for study. Findings: Our results showed that there is positive and significant relationship ofJob Stress and its two attributes (Underutilization of Skills and Work Overload) on employees. As per the results ofthis study Role Ambiguity being an attribute ofjob stress has no significant relationship with employee performance. Based on these findings, it can be recommended that the companies should consider underutilization of skills and work overload as predictors of employee performance. The company should put consideration on developing the skills of the employees and tapping their potentials. Implications: This research is specifically done on the textile industry of Pakistan. Only three companies were selected for data gathering from the textile sector. There were few variables studied and surveyed that can be beneficial for management and higher authorities to reduce the impact ofJob Stress on Employee Performance and to work for the wellbeing of employees who work day and night to achieve organizational goals efficiently. This study is helpful for companies to make policies, practices and take corrective actions to provide them optimum resources and training programs in order to reduce the frustration level of personnel of all departments so that they can work effectively and efficiently .Therefoie, it s recommended to use this research work to reduce Job Stress and frustration among the personnel and reduce risk poor employee performance and reduced overall organizational performance. i various ; ; !• Recommendations: The Human Resource Department may conduct as appropriate skills inventory to identify talents and potentials of employees with proper motivation as well as revisit their policies on promotion. However, it also recommended that further studies can be conducted to consider larger sample, scope and more variables as appropriate to arrive at more reflective results en_US
