| dc.description.abstract | Purpose- The main focus of this study was to accomplish the ideal customer service positon in the focused market area and to modify the total investment on supply chain cost. To accomplish the ideal position of service efficiency and guarantee cost reduced in SCM, there’s also need to minimize unnecessary exercises. ICT solution in SCM have often been adopted from different measurements with an emphasis on the overall impact on efficiency, customer value and cost. In this research focus was on Textile sector and further it was narrowed down to the leading textiles based in Karachi. Methodology/sample- This study was of quantitative in context and info was collected through close ended questionnaires distributed in selected Textiles. The sample size was set to (300) and data was collected from entire sample for analysis. Descriptive analysis, reliability test and multiple regression tests were run by using (SPSS) tools for study. Findings- Through this research theycan say that it’s clear that by focusing on information technology systems Textiles can achieve supply chain excellence at every step especially in strategy formulation. Thus findings of this research provide strong support for urgent implementation of ICT systems in Textiles Practical Implications- The research found that the Textiles firms adopted ICT in supply chain that influences supply chain performance significantly. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) influence the J supply chain performance of the Textiles firms to an incredible degree among other ICT applications. Therefore, it’s recommended to use the same practices across all other industries in Pakistan to get maximum benefit of advanced technology. | en_US |
